The Fifty Sonesta Hotel New York

We had a fabulous experience at the Sonesta. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially Keira on reception, nothing too much trouble, and always with a smile..Romeo on the door makes you feel like family, we met Kindle as well, so nice and our cleaning lady (sorry didn't get her name but she cleaned our room 807 for the last week of May), it was always left really nice and clean every day. The room was very spacious with 2 big double beds for me and my friend, beds were also very comfortable. Lots of storage space, large closets and plenty of drawers. Ironing facilities, safe, small fridge, TV and coffee machine with complimentary tea and coffee, everything you need.. Our view was amazing of the bustling 3rd Avenue. Despite other reviews of the bad noise levels and being a light sleeper the sound levels were not bad at all..the window was doubled glazed...the only noise really was the sirens but it is New York!! I think that this adds to the experience!. The WiFi was good. The location is great..10 to 20 minutes to all the main attractions. Compared to other hotels we looked at the price was very reasonable for New York. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 6 night stay in a roomy queen studio at the Fifty Sonesta. The studio included a kitchenette that was well stocked. The queen studio had a small balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The three elevators were speedy and always available. Filtered water is available in the 2nd floor gym to refill your water bottle. They also offer $10 per day per room to use toward your choice of snacks/drinks, a surprising and appreciated treat. We love the midtown location and a subway entrance is just a block away. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Lastly Romeo their doorman will start and end your day on a high note.

I recently stayed at the Sonesta on 50th and Third and had a great experience overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a friendly and professional staff. The front desk team—especially Marissa—was awesome, and the bellman was extremely pleasant and helpful throughout my stay. The location is excellent — surrounded by wonderful eateries and close to everything Midtown has to offer. It’s not right in the theater district, which I actually liked because it felt a bit more relaxed. There’s a busy police station nearby, which added a real sense of safety, though you do occasionally hear sirens and city noise — part of the authentic New York energy. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay with great service and an ideal Midtown location. I’d definitely stay here again!

The room was totally renovated with wood vinyl floors new furniture and all new kitchen and bathroom. Add the $40 facilities fee. To your budget fyi I especially loved the motivational sayings astrological branding. It was fun and added something really nice to the whole experience. The most important thing is cleanliness and comfort and it was both. I’d definitely come again 👍👍👍

Lovely hotel on the mid city east side. Everyone was nice and accommodating for the most part but there have been some hiccups in service and followups
