Excellent location with friendly stuff

We had a fabulous experience at the Sonesta. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially Keira on reception, nothing too much trouble, and always with a smile..Romeo on the door makes you feel like family, we met Kindle as well, so nice and our cleaning lady (sorry didn't get her name but she cleaned our room 807 for the last week of May), it was always left really nice and clean every day. The room was very spacious with 2 big double beds for me and my friend, beds were also very comfortable. Lots of storage space, large closets and plenty of drawers. Ironing facilities, safe, small fridge, TV and coffee machine with complimentary tea and coffee, everything you need.. Our view was amazing of the bustling 3rd Avenue. Despite other reviews of the bad noise levels and being a light sleeper the sound levels were not bad at all..the window was doubled glazed...the only noise really was the sirens but it is New York!! I think that this adds to the experience!. The WiFi was good. The location is great..10 to 20 minutes to all the main attractions. Compared to other hotels we looked at the price was very reasonable for New York. I would definitely stay here again.

We stay there when we go to NYC because the rooms are spacious, especially if we need to add a crib. They also send emails with offers for an upgrade two weeks before the beginning of the stay. This time, we had a bedroom + living-room + terrace. In the end, it is really worth it for the quality.

Great rooms and very large by NYC standards. Kitchenette is a big selling point. Excellent location for mid town, and great food and drink around the hotel.

Lovely hotel on the mid city east side. Everyone was nice and accommodating for the most part but there have been some hiccups in service and followups

I went with my daughter so we wanted a nice boutique hotel close to everything in a safe spot. This hotel nailed it ! A great location not too far from Fifth and Rockefeller. A subway close by too. Walked past the lovely St Patrick’s cathedral most days to and from the lobby. Breakfast not available inside the hotel but good places close by. 20 min walk to Central Park. ‘Romeo’ who has been mentioned on previous reviews lived up to his friendly reputation and we loved the “welcome home sweetie” he said to us often.

This hotel is located very centrally. The property is easy to find, as located not far from 5th Avenue. We've had a room with 2 Queen size beds, the beds were very comfortable. The room size is also great. I wasn't expecting a big bathroom. Housekeeping services were great, we had our room cleaned every day and in high standard. Reception staff was very helpful. Hotel offered a daily complimentary snack/drink worth $10. We also had a breakfast included. It was a bit more than continental b-fast as scrambled eggs and pancakes were available too. The b-fast bar staff was very nice and helpful.

Very clean and spacious room. Bed was very comfortable. Room had a desk and chairs. Large window overlooking the street. Very friendly staff and doormen. Conveniently located relative to midtown Manhattan and subways. Easy access to and from La Guardia Airport (about 20 minutes by ride-share).

The room was very, very nice! Comfortable bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. Also the $10 credit to use for the “cupboard” was nice too. Staff were extremely nice and helpful.
